Today we will just be discussing the assignment, so I am hopeful that you will all attend. Also, I mentioned there were a few things in the links section for resources using WinSCP, installing python without the cd from the textbook. I also went over “for loops” in python, and spent some time on converting numbers from one base to another. There was also some time spent on writing a simple python program called life. The instructions for life are in my resource for learning IDLE.
I also mentioned in class that I will severely punish those who use things like net speak in assignments, and write comments like “n then u.” I wrote “if u write like dis then u will teh fail” at the beginning of class, which is a hint for those of you who type like that to clean up your act.
