A lot of you will want to work with files at home in Windows, and then transfer them over. To do so, get a program called WinSCP. When you first run WinSCP, you will get a window like this:
Once at this screen, you will need to fill in the parameters hilighted. Up top, for host name, you can use csc.cpsc.ucalgary.ca, csb.cpsc.ucalgary.ca. Basically, these are just servers for accessing files at the school.
If you get a warning about the server’s host key, just press yes. This warning may look something like this:
Once in, you will have your local files on the left, and files at the school on the right. To transfer them, just simply drag and drop into the directory you would like the files to go to.
