CyberDuck Tutorial

Posted by admin under

In order to use SFTP or FTP in OS X, you’ll need a program like CyberDuck.

Download the zip file for CyberDuck, and, once downloaded and extracted, place it into your “Applications” directory. When you run the program, you should get something like this:

You won’t have files currently entered in, however, and the main area should be blank. In order to connect to the CPSC servers, click on “Open Connection” in the top left. Click on the top bar, and select SFTP, then write in “csb.cpsc.ucalgary.ca” or “csc.cpsc.ucalgary.ca” in the server bar, fill in your log in info. This should look something like this:

After you click “Connect” in the bottom right corner, you should now have access to your school files. You can drag and drop files from the school server onto your desktop, or any folder, and vice-versa. This should now look like this:

Hopefully this helps. If there are any issues, feel free to ask.
